How to Submit Your Paper to EuMC/GAAS/ECWT/EuRAD 2005

Submit papers via the EuMW 2005 Electronic Paper Submission System at www.eumw.net.

For complete instructions see the Readme file and download the EuMW_templates.zip file

General instructions for authors: The Week comprises four conferences. A paper can only be submitted to a single conference. Do not upload the same paper for more than one conference.

Summaries of papers are invited before 2 March 2005. Each summary will be reviewed by the Technical Programme Committee of the conference for which the paper has been proposed by the author(s). Exceptionally the EuMW General Chairman reserves the right to redirect a paper which does not fit with the conferences selected by its authors, towards the most appropriate conference.

For topics common to two conferences, as indicated in the respective topics lists, the decision about acceptance of the paper will be taken jointly by both Technical Programme Committees. Even in this case, each summary must be submitted to only one conference, selected by the author(s).

Authors will be notified of the status of their submission by 17 May 2005. A full paper will be required by 24 June 2005. Authors of accepted papers will find instructions for publication and presentation at the EuMW2005 website. Authors are responsible for obtaining publication approval by their employer.

For format instructions and topics, please refer to the call for papers of the selected conference in the PDF document above.

Workshops and short courses: During EuMW2005, a variety of different workshops, short courses and focused sessions on various topics will be organised. Any suggestions are welcome and people are encouraged to submit proposals for Workshop to the Workshop Organisation Chairman by 15 January 2005.

Proposals should be on one page indicating the selected conference (EuMC, ECWT, EuRAD, GAAS), the title and a short abstract of the topic, the name(s), affiliation and e-mail of the Workshop organiser(s), the duration – half or whole day – a preliminary list of speakers and the expected attendance.

Workshop proposals will be validated after the TPC meeting in April 2005.

Important Dates:

  • 2 March 2005: Deadline for submission of summaries

  • 17 May 2005: Notification of acceptance

  • 24 June 2005: Submission of full papers for EuMC, ECWT, EuRAD and GAAS

Call for Papers, 35th European Microwave Conference 2005, Paris, 4-6 October 2005

The 35th European Microwave Conference (EuMC) that will be held in Paris, France, from 4 to 6 October, is the core of European Microwave Week 2005, the largest event in Europe dedicated to microwave electronics.

The European Microwave Conference is the major conference in this field in Europe. Therefore, it is the perfect event to keep up to date with recent achievements in the RF, microwave and millimetre-wave domain. The EuMC brings together international experts in a wide variety of specialities, attracting delegates with academic and industrial backgrounds.

Over 3 days and with more than 300 selected papers in about 40 oral and poster sessions, it represents an exciting forum for the presentation and discussion of the most recent advances in the microwave area.

A broad range of high frequency related topics, from materials and technologies to integrated circuits, systems and applications will be addressed in all their aspects: theory, simulation, design and measurement. Examples include the latest developments for passive components, modelling and design of high frequency and high data rate photonics, highly stable and noiseless microwave and millimetrewave sources, new linearisation techniques and the impact of new packaging technologies on developing applications. Special emphasis will be placed on emerging technologies like MEMS, System-In-Package and System-On-Chip. The scope also includes electromagnetic field theory, theoretical and experimental developments in wave propagation and antenna systems, and advanced simulation techniques.

In addition to scientific papers, contributions are encouraged on industrial applications, covering the fields of instrumentation, medical, telecommunication, radar, space, automotive and defence systems.
